Wrote in message news:[email protected]. ok, is there any documentation about how to do this? I suppose it's source under trunk I should compile? Actually, no. Use the Tiburon branch instead. The trunk is not up-to-date.
When I try to open trunk lib Indy.Sockets.bdsproj I get message; 'The project can not be loaded because the required personality DelphiDotNet.personality is not available' What am I missing? You are opening the wrong file. That project is meant for Delphi.NET. You need to compile IndySystem###.dpk, IndyCore###.dpk, IndyProtocols###.dpk.dpk, dclIndyCore###.dpk, and dclIndyProtocols###.dpk packages individually instead (where ### is 120 or 130, I forget which one works correctly in D2009). I have found a place to download the INDY source. But are there no place to download a precompiled installable version for Delphi 2009? You must compile the Indy source using the compiler that you intend to use it with. The same is true for any third-party components, not just Indy. I downloaded the latest Indy 10 about a year ago (latest pas file dated Feb 2008). I installed it in Delphi 7 without problems. If I now go to the fulgan mirror there are two Indy10 downloads (Indy10.zip and IntyTiburon.zip).
The former is about twice the size of the second. They are both dated the same. So which do I select to download in order to update my Indy10? And can I simply drop off the files in the zip on top of the olod Indy files and go from there (compile as needed)??? - Bo Berglund Developer in Sweden. IndyTiburon.zip And can I simply drop off the files in the zip on top of the olod Indy files and go from there (compile as needed)??? I would not advise that.
Do a proper uninstall, delete old files, compile and install new files. How do you do an uninstall in Delphi 7???
I have never done that. Bo Berglund Developer in Sweden.
